Amyra wins 'Grote Prijs van Twente' 2020!

Wonderful news! Amyra won the finals of the ‘Grote Prijs van Twente’! The band shared that great news on Facebook.

The ‘Grote Prijs van Twente’ is a Dutch band contest held every year by Café de Stam (Almelo, The Netherlands). Last year Amyra also made it to the finals, but in the end Selkies managed to win the prizes. How different is that this year!

For the finals of last Sunday March 8 March five different bands qualified. Besides Amyra they were the progressive rockers of Vault, the cover band Polarized, alternative rockers Number9Large and heavy metal formation Ilerion.

After each band took the stage the jury declared Amyra as the winner. That resulted in no less than three (!) prices for the band.

The first reward was a gig on this years HobNob Festival. This Dutch rock festival is held on Saturday, July 4, 2020. In addition to that the band will also perform as a support act in ‘Metropool’, a big rock stage here in the Netherlands. Last but not least, the band won valuable recording time from MilkMark and JBStudio.

These great and helpful prices bring Amyra yet another step further in its journey. Congratulations Amyra!
